I was looking forward to this book. I have followed Stella Cameron for many years and usually love her books. With Darkness Bound I kept thinking someone else had to have wrote this book. The first part of the book was confusing, the writing was choppy. The book was somewhat better in the last half.
I downloaded this for the Nook. The story is 597 pages. I really liked the characters in this story and the shape shifting. There is a good storyline that kept me reading. The book is erotica so expect a lot of sex. For me there were a few times when the sex interrupted the story flow. Over all I would like to read more about these band members and shifters.
this book has 640 pages on the Nook. I understand this was the author's first novel. The problem I had with the first 1/3 or so of the book was the authors description of the character's races and attributes, they seemed to be forced instead of flowing. I also got distracted by all the copyright marks for every product. The writing smoothed out after about that first 1/3. The ending is too simply wrapped up.
In eBook format for the Nook this book has 340 pages. To me this romance story is very predictable. This is the first book by Melody Anne I have read, so I may try another one to see if all her writing is like this one.
I read this in the Nook eBook format. The novel has 778 pages. This is a good easy romance with touches of humor. I think the first Bluegrass series( Bluegrass State of Mind) had a little more intrigue, but I can't wait to find out about the other brothers.
This is the last book in the series and is Noah's story. In the fist two books we knew that Noah was hiding something from his family, we just didn't know what. Now the story must come out. Such a pleasure to read this well written suspense romance.
